On behalf of a group of national and international insurers, E+B sued a prominent engineering service provider for over $20 million in a subrogation action for recovery of insurance proceeds paid to an electricity-generating facility for damages based on theories of professional negligence and breach of contract. After E+B worked to successfully appeal favorable rulings on preliminary issues related to the expert causation opinions, the case was favorably settled on terms acceptable to E+B’s client.
